Based on composition, when utilised unprotected, Corten Bexhibits increased resistance to atmospheric corrosion compared to unalloyed steels. This is because it forms a protective layer on its surface under the influence of the weather.Thus its corrosion resistance is about 3 to 8 times higher than the common steel. Besides, Cu, Ni element makes the steel possessing the properties,such as tenacity, ductility,shaping,welding,cutting,abrasion,fatigue resistance.
