A514 Grade Q steel is a quenched and tempered
Alloy steel plate. This material exhibits good cold forming characteristics. Shear burrs and heat-affected zones of thermal cut edges on or near the bend axis as well as sharp corners on edges and on gas cut or punched holes located on or adjacent to the bend axis should be removed by grinding prior cold forming.
Smelting method: The molten steel must be vacuum processed.
Delivery condition of A514GrQ steel plate: 80 ～ 102mm steel plate: quenched and tempered (quenched + tempered). Thickness > 102 ～ 152mm steel plate: controlled rolling + tempering.
Dimension, shape, weight and tolerance for for A514 Grade Q alloyThe size, shape, straightness, weight and allowable deviation of the steel plate shall meet the requirements of ASTM A6 / A6M.
Ultrasonic flaw detection: The A514 Grade Q steel plate can be subjected to ultrasonic flaw detection. The flaw detection standard is A578, and the grade A is qualified.
