S420ML steel material number 1.8836. EN 10025-4 S420ML steel plates are especially intended for use in heavily loaded parts of welded structures such as bridges, flood gates, storage tanks, water supply tanks, etc., for service at ambient and low temperatures.
S420ML is a weldable fine-grained steel with a min. yield point of 420 N/mm². The steel is applicated in thermo mechanical rolled condition for several types of welded constructions such as fixed and movable storage container, high-pressure pipes, bridge and load-bearing constructions. Subsequent heating above 580°C for thermo mechanical rolled products causes reduction of the strength properties.
