What is the difference between A285 Gr.C and SA285 Gr.C steel plate? steel plate

The name of the SA285 standard is medium and low-strength carbon steel plates for pressure vessels. According to different strength levels, it is divided into three types: A, B, and C. The tensile strength of C level is 380~515MPa. Chemical composition C≤0.28 Mn0.90 (smelting composition) 0.98 (finished product analysis) P≤0.035 S≤0.035.

Both A285 Gr.C and SA285 Gr.C steel plates are of the same grade, and the implementation standards are different. SA285 Gr.C steel plate is a medium and low tensile strength carbon steel plate for pressure vessels, which belongs to the American standard container steel plate, SA285 Gr.C Divided into three grades SA285 Gr.C, SA285 Gr.B, SA285 Gr.A.

A285 Gr.C, SA285 Gr.C steel plate scope of application: This standard applies to the production and inspection of medium and low tensile strength carbon steel plates for pressure vessels with a maximum thickness of 200mm.
