API 5L X42 hot-rolled coil 4.75*1500*C is 4380-4390 yuan/ton, which is an increase of 20 yuan/ton from yesterday. Affected by the volatility of black futures in the night trading yesterday, the price of hot-rolled coils rose this morning. However, due to the approaching new year, most downstream companies have started the holiday mode, and overall demand is weak. Therefore, after the price increase, the transaction is weak.
In terms of mentality, merchants are more cautious about shipments due to low stocks of hot-rolled coils in their hands. Although the demand continues to fall, the cost of steel mills is currently on the high side, so the price of hot-rolled coils is unlikely to have room for a substantial drop in the short term. In summary, it is expected that the price of hot steel coils in Tianjin tomorrow may consolidate.
