Usually, the impact temperature and impact energy requirements used by our company when specifying ASME SA516/SA516M steel is as follows:
1. For 0-degree impact, the average value of the three impact energy is not less than 41J, and one of the impact energy values is allowed to be lower than 41J, but not lower than 70% of the average value (ie: 29J).
2. For -10 degree impact, the average value of the three impact energy is not less than 41J, and one of the impact energy values is allowed to be lower than 41J, but not lower than 70% of the average value (ie: 29J).
3. For -20 degree impact, the average value of 3 impact energy is not less than 41J, and one of the impact energy values is allowed to be lower than 41J, but not lower than 70% of the average value (ie: 29J).
4. For -29 degree impact, the average value of the three impact energy is not less than 41J, and one of the impact energy values is allowed to be lower than 41J, but not lower than 70% of the average value (ie: 29J).
5. For -46 degree impact, the average value of the three impact energy is not less than 41J, and one of the impact energy values is allowed to be lower than 41J, but not lower than 70% of the average value (ie: 29J).
