Silicon content and hot rolling process are the first key factors to determine the magnetic properties of 50W800 silicon steel. The effects of 50W800 silicon steel content, hot rolling final temperature and coiling temperature on magnetic properties of cold rolled 50W800 silicon steel were studied by optimizing steel smelting composition and rolling process parameters of 1780mm hot continuous rolling mill.
It is concluded that reasonable control of the temperature of continuous casting billet, finishing rolling temperature and coiling temperature is very helpful to improve the ferromagnetic properties of 50W800 silicon steel. Thus, under the conditions of mass production, a high magnetic induction 50W800 silicon steel was developed, and the magnetic induction strength B50 value reached more than 1.75T. The 50W800 silicon steel was well received by users.
