ASTM A36 Steel plate equivalent grade is Q235B in China. The two equivalent steel grades have much in common without any doubt. The minimum yield point of ASTM A36 Steel plate is 250 MPa, tensile strength is 400MPa-550MPa. While the minimum yield point of ASTM A36 Steel plate equivalent grade Q235B is 235MPa, tensile strength is 375MPa-460Mpa. That means some Q235B will not meet A36 requirements.
