16Mo3 steel plate 16Mo3 material characteristics and chemical composition steel plate

16Mo3 steel plate is a pressure vessel EN10028-2 designated grade chromium molybdenum steel alloy for use at elevated operating temperatures. The material is used as weldable steel in the manufacture of industrial boilers and stainless steel pressure vessels in the oil, gas and chemical industries.

16Mo3 steel plate is a foreign brand steel plate. It is different from other raw materials during welding. It must be preheated first, and the weld should be kept warm for about 30 minutes after the welding is completed. 16Mo3 manganese steel plate is also an important alloying element of steel, it is an important hardenability element, and it has a great influence on the patience of the weld metal.

16Mo3 material chemical composition
C: 0.12-0.2
Si: ≤0.35
Mn: 0.4-0.9
P: ≤0.025
S:≤0.01
Cu: ≤0.3
Ni: ≤0.3
Cr:≤0.3
Mo: 0.25-0.35
Al: ≥0.02
N:≤0.012

16Mo3 material characteristics: heat resistance; corrosion resistance; when the Mn content is less than 5%, the patience of the weld metal is very high; when the Mn content is greater than 3%, it is very brittle; when the Mn content is 60% to 180%, Weld metal has high strength and resistance.
