S420ML steel is a hot-rolled, weldable fine-grained structural steel with long products material with a thickness of not more than 150 mm.The material number: 1.8836. The EN 10025-4 S420ML steel plates for storage tanks are applicated in thermo mechanical rolled condition for several types of welded constructions such as fixed and movable storage container, high-pressure pipes, bridge and load-bearing constructions. Subsequent heating above 580°C for thermo mechanical rolled products causes reduction of the strength properties.

The dimensions, shape and tolerance of S420ML steel plates shall be in accordance with EN10025-1:2004.
S420ML steel plates are delivered in thermomechanical rolling: steel plates should be cut or cut with flame.
EN 10025-4 standard is a requirement for long products and hot rolled flat products from weldable fine grain structural steels in state after normalization or normalization rolling, thickness ≤ 250mm for steel grade S275, S355, S420 and thickness ≤ 200mm for steel grade S460. The given steels are intended for particularly loaded elements for weldable structures such as bridges, lock gates, storage tanks, and water tanks, used at ambient temperate and in low temperates. Structural steels must be referenced using standard symbols including but not limited to: M, ML.
