Low iron loss. The quality of non-oriented silicon steel is the most important indicator. All countries in the world divide the grades according to the iron loss value. The lower the iron loss, the higher the grade and the higher the quality.

Non-oriented silicon steel has high magnetic induction. Silicon steel sheets with higher magnetic induction can be obtained under the same magnetic field, and the volume and weight of motor or transformer cores made of non-oriented silicon steel are relatively small, and silicon steel sheets, copper wires and insulating materials can be saved relatively.

Non-oriented silicon steel has a high stacking coefficient. The surface of the silicon steel sheet is smooth, flat and uniform in thickness, and the stacking coefficient of the iron core is improved.

Non-oriented silicon steel has good punchability. This is even more important for the manufacture of small, miniature motor cores.

The surface has good adhesion and weldability to the insulating film, and can prevent corrosion and improve the punchability.

The magnetic aging phenomenon of non-oriented silicon steel is small; the silicon steel sheet must be delivered after annealing and pickling.
