Strengthen the control of the conditions of the Q235B steel plate produced by the electric furnace, control the content of 0, P, S and other impurity elements in the molten steel within a controllable range, reduce the burden of removing S and O during the refining process, and ensure the cleanliness of the Q235B steel plate.

Strengthen the execution of the secondary pouring process in the first and last furnaces of continuous casting, minimize the unsteady pouring time to reach the steady state pouring condition as soon as possible, and prevent the molten steel from slag entrainment or secondary oxidation in the mold.

There are serious sulfide inclusions near the surface of the Q235B steel plate, which destroys the continuity of the steel matrix. During the rolling process, the surface cracks of the Q235B steel plate are further extended under the traction of the original surface cracks of the continuous casting billet.

By optimizing the composition of refined molten steel and the unsteady pouring process of continuous casting, the probability of surface cracking of Q235B steel plate can be greatly reduced.
