How to use abrasion resistant steel plate steel plate

1. Cutting: plasma cutting, carbon arc and grinding wheel saws can be used to cut large-area clad steel plates into desired shapes. The best method is to cut with air or inert gas plasma arc, the recommended method is to cut from the alloy side. Carbon arc cutting should start from one side of the substrate. If a saw blade is used, only straight cuts can be made, and a silicon carbide saw blade is required.

2. Bending: the abrasion resistant steel plate can be cold-formed and bent into the required shape, or arc or circle as needed. Concave forming, alloy cracks will be tightly closed due to inward stress; convex forming, cracks will become larger and cracking, which is a normal scene. If the crack is too large, repair it with the appropriate electrode.

3. Opening: large holes can be cut by plasma, and EDM machines are recommended for small holes. Countersunk holes for mounting bolts can be machined by plasma or carbon arc cutting.

4. Welding: the base metal of the large-area composite steel plate is a steel plate with good weldability. When two steel plates need to be spliced, the base metal on the back can be welded together, and then the front surfacing layer can be filled with the corresponding surfacing electrode. Abrasion resistant steel plates can also be welded to other steel structures.

5. Bolt fixing: the bolts can be welded to the base metal of the steel plate by flash welding or fusion welding, and then connected with other workpieces, or holes can be opened in the wear-resistant steel plate and connected with other workpieces through bolts;

6. Surface processing: the abrasion resistant steel plates show that no processing is required. If processing is required, it can only be ground, and other conventional methods are not applicable. The abrasion resistant steel plates are not suitable for occasions with high surface accuracy requirements.
