P460NH material is a normalized weldable fine-grain steel. Fine-grain steel is understood to be a steel with a ferrite grain size of 6 or finer after testing according to the EURONORM103 specification. Performance specification: EN10028-3. P460NH fine grain steel is alloy special steel, steel for pressure equipment, with outstanding plasticity, resistance, cold bending function and welding function.
P460NH is also used in sour gas applications where the steel will be HIC tested to gauge the materials susceptibility to hydrogen induced cracking.

P460NH steel tensile strength is at 570 to 720 Mpa for thickness below 60mm, even maximum 730 MPa is OK for the plate thicknesses up to 16mm.
