Grade S355NL, S355ML and Q345 Steel Plates

S355NL under EN10025-3: S355NL is a normalized rolled weldable fine grained structural steel. S: Structural steel, N: delivered in normalized state. L: The level at which the minimum impact energy is specified when the temperature is not lower than -50°C.
S355ML: S355ML steel is normalized steel (fine grain steel) in EN10025-3: 2004 standard. Its yield strength and tensile strength correspond to China's Q345 low alloy steel.
Grade Q345: Q345 material is a kind of steel. Is a low alloy steel, widely used in bridges, vehicles, ships, construction, pressure vessels, special equipment, etc. Where "Q" means yield strength, 345 means that the yield strength of this steel is 345MPa.

Grade S355NL, S355ML and Q345 Steel Differences in Performance 

1. Characteristics of Grade S355NL: The impact absorption work test is performed in a low temperature environment of minus 50 degrees, and the impact value is not less than 27J.
2. Characteristics of s355ML steel: The yield value will decrease with the thickness of the material, and the domestic production may be less than 345MPa, so the strength must be less than 345MPa when mechanical design, otherwise problems will occur.
3. Characteristics of Q345 steel: Q345 has good comprehensive mechanical properties, acceptable low temperature performance, good plasticity and weldability.

Grade S355NL, S355ML and Q345 Steel Differences in Application  

S355NL steel uses: used in construction machinery, mining machinery, metallurgical environmental protection, water conservancy and hydropower and other structural parts.
S355ML steel uses: widely used in bridges, vehicles, ships, construction, pressure vessels, special equipment, etc.
Use of Q345 steel: it is used for medium and low pressure vessels, oil tanks, vehicles, cranes, mining machinery, power stations, bridges and other structures that are subjected to dynamic loads, mechanical parts, building structures, general metal structural parts, hot rolled or normalized. Various structures in cold areas below -40°C.
