Latest development characteristics of high strength shipbilding steel ABS FH32 steel plates: low carbon and adding manganese and micro alloy ellements.
ABS FH32 steel plates and so on high strength shipbilding steel usually adopt TMCP (Thermo-Mechanical Control proeess) rolling technology.
In addition, in the latest public research and development results, there are two kinds of unconventional rolling methods, which are characterized by the following:
First, special refinement of austenite grain technology. After rolling the austenite recrystallization zone, the rolling rate of over 40% reduction is achieved in the area where the austenite is not recrystallized. Then, the intermediate billet is heated to Ar3 above the point of transformation to austenite recrystallization area. After that, it is combined with TMCP process to obtain excellent ABS FH32 steel plates toughness.
Second, twice hot rolling process. In order to solve the problem of Ni segregation (including 2.0%~4.5%Ni) in ABS FH32 steel plates, the slab is heated to 1250 degrees ~1380 ~1380, holding for 8 hours, and then pressed down to 1.2~10.0. The temperature before the last one pass is 80 C, ~1250 C, and air cooling to 30 C. Then reheated to 900 C ~1270 C, lower than 2 centigrade ~40 centigrade, and the final l pass temperature of 680 C ~1000 C. After twice hot rolling, the water cooled within 100 seconds, the final cooling temperature is below 20 C, and the low temperature toughness and strength anisotropy ABS FH32 steel plates are obtained.
