How to avoid false welding when weathering steel relief welding? steel plate

The so-called virtual welding means that only a small amount of weathering steel relief welds are welded, resulting in poor contact and on-off. Experienced welders know that each welding should be firm and well-contacted. In this way, the chromium carbide wear-resistant flux-cored wire and the welded object can be firmly fused to avoid virtual welding. How should we avoid virtual welding? The editor told friends to pay attention to the following points in order to avoid virtual welding of chromium carbide wear-resistant flux-cored wire:

  1. Make sure the surface of the weldment is clean.

If the weldment and welding surface have rust, dirt or oxide, they should be scraped with a knife or sandpaper before welding until the bright surface is exposed, and then the weldment or welding surface can be plated with tin.

  2. We must master the temperature.

In order to make the temperature appropriate, an electric soldering iron with appropriate power should be selected according to the size of the weldment, and pay attention to the heating time. If the small power chromium carbide wear-resistant flux-cored wire is used to weld large components or the ground wire is welded on the metal base plate, it is easy to form a virtual weld. In addition, when the weathering steel embossed head is pressed against the welding place with solder, if the wear-resistant flux-cored wire is removed, there is no or little solder left at the welded place, which means that the heating time is too short, the temperature is not enough, or the object to be soldered Too dirty.

  3. Appropriate amount of silk.

The length of the chromium carbide wear-resistant flux-cored wire dipped with the soldering iron is determined according to the size of the required welding, so that the welding is enough to wrap the welded object, forming a suitable and smooth solder joint. If the tin is not enough for one time, it can be replaced, but the electric iron must be removed after the wear-resistant flux-cored wire on the previous time is melted together.

  4. Pay attention to choose the appropriate flux.

The role of flux is to improve the fluidity of the solder, prevent oxidation of the soldering surface, and play a role in soldering and protection. When soldering electronic components, solder paste should be avoided as much as possible. The better flux is rosin alcohol solution, when the weathering steel relief welding, just drop a little on the welded place.
