S355MC steel is a thermomechanical rolled(M) structural steel (S) with a specified minimum yield strength at room temperature of 355MPa (355) suitable for cold forming(C).
Steel EN10149-2 S355MC designation shall consist of
S-For structural steel;
355-The number indicates the minimum specified yield strength expressed in MPa;
M Symbol for the delivery condition (thermomechanically rolled steel)
C-Indicating the steel is suitable for cold forming
General mechanical propertiesUnder the inspection and testing conditions as specified in Clause 8 and in the delivery condition as specified in 7.2, the mechanical properties shall comply with the relevant requirements of EN 10149-2.
Stress relieving at more than 580 °C or for over 1 h may lead to a deterioration of the mechanical properties. If the purchaser intends to stress relief the products at higher temperatures or for longer times than mentioned above, the minimum values of the mechanical properties after such a treatment should be agreed at the time of the order.
