S420NL steel plate is a hot-rolled weldable fine grain high tensile structural steel. With its low carbon equivalent and fine grain structural with an equivalent index of ferritie grain size ≥6, it possesses good weldability and formability.

This grade is especially intended for use in heavily loaded parts of welded structure such as bridges, flood gates, storage tanks, water supply tanks, etc. for service at ambient and low temperatures.
