Effect of heat treatment process on impact properties of GBT 11251 30CrMnSi steel steel plate

In order to study the hardness and impact properties of GBT 11251 30CrMnSi steel with different quenching processes, two heat treatment processes were selected to study. First process is the conventional quenching process, the quenching temperature is 910 ℃, tempering temperature according to 230, 330, 430, 530 and 430 ℃. Second process is 910 ℃ quenching + 630℃ tempering + 810 ℃ temperature quenching, tempering at 810 ℃ and medium temperature quenching, tempering temperature according to 230, 330, 430, 530 and 430 ℃.

The research results show that:
(1) After conventional quenching at 910 ℃, the microstructure of GBT 11251 30CrMnSi steel was martensite + retained austenite. After 910 ℃ quenching +630℃ tempering + 810 ℃quenching, the microstructure of GBT 11251 30CrMnSi steel is fine lath martensite + retained austenite + ferrite.

(2) Within the scope of the 230 ~ 630 ℃, with the increase of tempering temperature, the conventional quenching and subtemperature quenching hardness of GBT 11251 30CrMnSi steel is decline, in 630 ℃ tempering, conventional quenching and subtemperature have a minimum value of 24 and 22 HRC hardness.

(3) within the scope of the 230 ~ 630 ℃, with the increase of tempering temperature, the impact of the conventional quenching energy absorption curve in the "W" shape; While the impact absorbing energy of temperature quenching increases monotonously with the increase of tempering temperature and, at 630 ℃ tempering, have the highest impact absorbing energy of 119 J, and GBT 11251 30CrMnSi steel gets the best hardness and toughness.
